这是ISPE中对活性炭的描述：“Activated carbon beds
The bed matrix consists of finely divided charcoal, which is highly efficient at removing low-molecular-weight organic materials. It also oxidizes and removes additives such as chlorine. The vast surface area and accumulation of nutrients on the bed, combined with chlorine removal, can lead to rapid microorganism colonization and proliferation. Most of the organisms are Gram-negative bacteria and, should they undergo cell lysis, can be a source of endotoxins. An essential point of control over the entire water system is the ability to sanitize the beds regularly with hot water or steam, coupled with frequent replacement. ”
